B/OSS magazine and the Billing & OSS World Conference & Expo are calling for nominations for the 2010 Billing & OSS World Excellence Awards. The awards recognize excellence in a communications service provider’s business from vendor-enabled or internal initiatives.
For 2010, the award categories have been revamped to recognize the benefits over the technology type. Since software solutions and services often provide multiple business benefits, the new categories allow nominees to submit a solution to more than one category, provided they can demonstrate success. For example, a service fulfillment implementation may prove to be just as effective at cost management as an inventory, revenue assurance or facility planning tool. So these newly defined categories welcome submissions from across the BSS/OSS spectrum. And since benefits are proportional to the size of the business – based on the rate or percentage of improvement, not the scale of it – implementations in any tier of telecom are eligible for consideration and treated equitably.
Nominations are open to participating exhibitors, sponsors, speakers and attendees of the Billing & OSS World Conference & Expo. The winners will be recognized on the evening of Wednesday, June 9, 2010, during ceremonies held in the exhibit hall at the Billing & OSS World event.
Nominations are currently being accepted here and will remain open through Friday, April 16, 2010.

- Best Cost Management Implementation
- Best Service Enablement Implementation
- Best Customer Experience Improvement
- Best Business Process Automation
- Best Network Management Implementation
- B/OSS Innovator of the Year
Final selection of the winners will be made by an independent award selection committee composed of BSS and OSS analysts and experts.
