Verecloud, a Denver-based cloud-services company, has chosen Comarch as a key partner in delivering technologies to support NIMBUS, its cloud services aggregation platform.
Verecloud says it picked Comarch due to the reliability and the strength of its BSS/OSS portfolio, as well as its presence in the U.S. telecommunications market. The companies agreed to work together to develop solutions that meet the expectations of CSPs looking for new revenue streams from the cloud business model, and the expectations of small and medium-sized businesses looking for unified, reliable and cost-effective service.
"We are thrilled to be able to contribute to this emerging market, as we believe that cloud computing services will become increasingly important in the near future. We are also excited to work with a company as innovative and distinguished as Verecloud. Our comprehensive and customized solutions are a great fit with Verecloud's platform, and will help them achieve their goals in providing excellent support to communications service providers in the cloud computing space," said Darius Ner, president of Comarch.
"As we develop NIMBUS Marketplace, we are looking to partner with cloud service suppliers that are demanded by small and medium-sized businesses. We also are focused on partnering with companies that bring best-in-class technology for supporting our cloud services aggregator platform," said John McCawley, president and CEO, Verecloud. "These partners provide the technology solutions CSPs need as they become providers of advanced cloud-based services to small and medium-sized business customers."
Verecloud says NIMBUS Marketplace, the company’s cloud services aggregation platform, will enable CSPs to integrate, aggregate and mediate cloud services offered to small and medium-sized businesses without the need for costly and time-consuming upgrades to legacy systems. NIMBUS Marketplace enables CSPs to integrate with cloud service suppliers and then sell product bundles consisting of cloud services and existing communications products.
Comarch will take advantage of its extensive BSS/OSS portfolio to provide customer relationship management, billing, management of service catalogs and customer support for the NIMBUS Marketplace platform. The platform is expected to launch in the fourth quarter of 2010.
