Zain Group has chosen Tango Telecom to implement its new prepaid pricing plan, Zain Flexxy. With an initial launch at Zain Uganda, Zain says Flexxy offers prepaid customers discounted call rates depending on location and time of day.
The enhanced features of Tango Telecom’s Dynamic Pricing Service enable Zain to apply discounts to voice services across networks and vary the level of discount depending on the traffic in a particular cell, subscriber plan, subscriber activity and time of day.
Tango Telecom’s Dynamic Pricing Service was developed to meet key challenges – such as customer retention, increasing ARPU and gaining market share – faced by mobile operators operating in highly price sensitive markets. The result is what the company calls a powerful promotional tool which enables operators to attract more subscribers, thereby rapidly increasing their market share whilst stimulating usage and maximizing revenue.
“We are very pleased to be chosen by the Zain Group to enable their new Zain Flexxy initiative, allowing them to offer their subscribers the very best value for money and personalized spending control,” said Rory O’Toole, VP of sales, Tango Telecom. “By empowering their subscribers to actively select their optimal per call tariff in a dynamic fashion, Zain Uganda has significantly grown revenues and subscriber numbers. Our Dynamic Pricing Service is a revolutionary solution enabling personalised tariff control – utilizing idle network capacity to attract new subscribers, prevent churn and improve quality of service – leading to increased usage and increased revenues. Indeed, presently, a dynamic pricing solution is a must-have to compete effectively in some markets.”
“We are delighted to be working with the Tango Telecom team on this project. Their strong commitment and fast response times means we have been able to bring Zain Flexxy to our customers very quickly,” said Zain Uganda Networks Director Fabian Lulonga. “It is an exciting new venture for us and bodes well for future partnerships with Tango Telecom.”
