Bulgaria’s incumbent telecommunications provider, VIVACOM, has consolidated its operations and, in the process, fraud management functions.
VIVACOM is the new name of the company that unifies the Bulgarian Telecommunications Co. (BTC) and Vivatel services, the fixed-line and mobile offerings, respectively, from the country's PTT. Becoming an integrated operator leaves open operational challenges as systems and oversight mechanisms are brought together, making a unified fraud managment approach a critical priority.
VIVATEL, the mobile arm, has been successfully using Neural Technologies’ Minotaur Fraud Management Solution for several years, with a rival solution installed at BTC. When the decision came to combine the fixed and mobile operations Minotaur was selected as the preferred solution to manage Vivacom’s fraud challenges going forward.
