Wireless services and solutions provider Brightstar Corp. has opened its state-of-the-art Brightstar Miami Operations Center (BMOC) in Beacon Lakes, Fla. The BMOC serves as the main wireless device distribution hub for Brightstar's Latin American operations.
Brightstar says the BMOC provides mass customization for Brightstar's Latin America-based customers, including operators and manufacturers. Brightstar's customers will also benefit from enhanced services via this more effective distribution network. Outfitted with the latest logistics and supply chain technology, the BMOC is minutes away from the Miami airport, allowing Brightstar to dispatch products quickly throughout Latin America and increase efficiency in the ways they serve their customers, the company said. The BMOC also serves as a crucial component for Brightstar's growing infrastructure, which the company says shows its continued commitment to service and efficiency with the best logistics routes, frequencies and costs to Latin America. Currently, Brightstar operates in more than 20 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean.

The BMOC boasts a variety of capabilities, including assembling, programming, kitting and customization. The massive Center has 65,000 square feet of warehouse space with the storage capacity of up to 2 million handsets, and 10,000 square feet of office area. The number of employees at the BMOC ranges from 110 and up to 200 during peak season. These individuals are extensively trained and multilingual with industry and regional experience. Each employee is committed to the company's best-in-class distribution process and helping customers with solutions to their most complex supply chain and technical needs.
