Minnesota-based Federated Telephone Cooperative has selected Digitiliti's DigiLIBE Information Management solution better manage, control and utilize its growing unstructured data.

Federated Telephone also plans to deliver DigiLIBE's advanced information management services to its residential and commercial customers, which include hospitals, law and dental offices and insurance agencies.

DigiLIBE provides compliance, active archive and backup, document management, collaboration and e-search and discovery features. It also provides Federated Telephone with an additional source of recurring revenue to expand its business opportunities by giving the service provider the ability to offer these DigiLIBE data management services on a hosted basis.

"DigiLIBE is a simple and smart alternative for the hodgepodge of products we would have had to purchase to offer the same capabilities integrated within DigiLIBE," said Kevin Beyer, general manager at Federated Telephone.

He added that a single architecture incorporating data storage, archiving and backup dramatically speeds the company’s time to market, decreases its integration, training and support costs, and improves data center operational efficiency. It also lets Federated provision its new services to our customers faster and with better reliability.

DigiLIBE is a simple, integrated Virtual Corporate Library (VCL) system with policy-based applications to protect, control and secure data from its point of origin to final disposition. It addresses information growth across all points of an organization including office files, e-mail, images, primary, secondary, offsite and active archives.
