Software and services developer Telcordia is introducing Garry K. McGuire as the newly elected, non-executive chairman of its board of directors. In addition, Patrick Severson has joined the board as a new member.
A member of the board since December 2006, McGuire was the former chief financial officer and senior vice president of corporate development for Avaya, where he was responsible for management and oversight of all financial, accounting, treasury, tax, audit operations and real-estate operations as well as investor relations, global pricing and corporate development. Before joining Avaya, McGuire was president and chief executive officer of Williams Communications Solutions and president of NORTEL Communications Systems.
Patrick Severson is a managing director of Technology, Media and Telecommunications at private equity firm Warburg Pincus, where he focuses on software and healthcare technology investments. Prior to joining Warburg Pincus, Severson was a consultant with Booz Allen & Hamilton and Price Waterhouse, following the media and technology industries.
