Connectiv Solutions has signed a systems-integrator alliance agreement with global data warehouse and analytic appliance specialist Netezza, an IBM company. Connectiv says the relationship will allow it to increase its data-analysis capabilities and provide new business opportunities in telecommunications for customers of both companies.
To remain competitive, telecommunications companies must dig deeper into their network operations to create ever more efficient ways of running their businesses. At the core of this process is weeding through vast amounts of data in order to reduce costs and enhance the network. Connectiv Solutions flagship product for traffic cost management and planning, netCLARUS, assists carriers by synthesizing this wealth of network usage information into actionable information.
The new agreement with IBM Netezza will allow Connectiv Solutions to enhance the netCLARUS platform by increasing its data analysis capability; expanding its data warehousing offering; accelerating the review of call-detail records; and leveraging IBM Netezza to provide best-in-class data manipulation.
"Our new relationship with IBM Netezza evolves netCLARUS into a more powerful data analysis platform for telecommunications carriers," said David Knutson, executive vice president of Connectiv Solutions. “Their best-in-class warehousing capabilities will increase the volume and speed at which we provide cost-saving network intelligence to our customers."
“Connectiv Solutions’ powerful software, combined with IBM Netezza’s advanced warehousing resources and global ecosystem of partners, will provide increased value to customers," said Kim Strayer, director of Channel Sales for IBM Netezza.
