B/OSS LIVE! — Aria Systems (Booth #418 at the B/OSS Live! Conference & Businessplex) and MATRIXX Software today announced a new partnership and the industry’s first cloud-deployed, real-time rating and billing solution for communications service providers (CSPs) and their enterprise customers. The companies say the solution delivers dynamic spend controls enabling enterprises to effectively manage exploding data costs caused by increasing mobile device usage among employees.

Stratecast research shows a majority of CSPs write off $20-$25 million every month because their enterprise customers are incurring bill shock from mobile device overage charges; 75 percent of CSPs said their enterprise customers have subsequently requested better spend controls, real-time visibility and more predictable monthly bills.

“The explosive data traffic increase from enterprise smartphones and tablets mandates the need for a hosted real-time rating, charging and billing solution that controls skyrocketing costs," said Dave Labuda, CEO at MATRIXX. “Our enterprise spend control service coupled with the Aria platform provides CSPs faster time-to-market, lower operating costs and greater billing flexibility to meet enterprise customer demands."

MATRIXX Software is the first partner to join the new Aria Systems Alliance Program, which offers technical, marketing and sales support for innovative new applications on the Aria Subscription Billing and Management Platform. Today, Aria released four software development kits (SDKs) for the Aria Subscription Billing and Management Platform, available to Alliance Program partners.

“The Aria Alliance Program is open to innovative companies like MATRIXX Software so they can combine their vertical expertise and technology with the Aria Subscription Billing and Management Platform," said Mike Morini, CEO of Aria Systems. “These new applications combined with our enterprise class platform will power innovative recurring revenue businesses across industries around the globe."

Both Labuda and Morini will participate in a panel discussion at B/OSS Live! on Wednesday, June 15, called “Innovations in Charging and Billing for the Cloud, in the Cloud."
