Convergys has a new leader for its customer management operations in the Philippines.

Maria Victoria “Ivic" Mueco takes the reins as country manager in the Asian nation. She will be responsible for executing the company’s growth plan in the Philippines, where Convergys happens to be the largest private employer. She’ll also be responsible for overseeing operations within Convergys’ 15 contact centers and of the nearly 25,000 customer management employees in the country. Mueco served previously as VP and head of Philippines operations.

Mueco assumes the country manager role from Marife Zamora, who is now the managing director for Convergys’ customer management operations in Asia Pacific, Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

“Ivic’s been an exemplary leader since starting with Convergys as a senior director in 2004," said Zamora. “She has played a key role in attracting clients to the Philippines and driving service-delivery excellence. She has developed a high performance team and a value-centric culture that delivers superior client satisfaction."

Convergys continues to hire additional employees in the Philippines.
