Getronics Picks CA for Service Assurance

Getronics, the largest service provider in Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg, has selected CA Technologies’ software and services to increase business agility and improve customer satisfaction. Getronics will deploy an extensive, integrated suite of CA service assurance solutions to help ensure the performance, availability and quality of its IT services. 

“The availability and performance of Getronics’ business services and its underlying infrastructure are critical to the company’s continued growth and success," said Marco van Lieverloo, Netherlands country manager, CA Technologies. “CA Technologies will provide Getronics with complete visibility from a service orientation, allowing the organisation to prioritise actions based on business impact and service level compliance. Moreover, the business will be better equipped to adapt to infrastructure changes, without affecting service delivery."

Getronics recently decided to standardize its remote infrastructure management (RIM) applications for fault and performance management. These services include the remote system monitoring and management of infrastructure elements such as desktop and server applications, operating systems, virtualization and messaging middleware. Getronics’ goal is to decrease the number of IT management applications, lower integration costs, increase business service visibility across key business lines (Global Service Delivery, Workspace Management Services, Getronics Data centers, Information & Communication Solutions) and reduce the resolution time for business critical issues. The expected results will be cost transparency, improved efficiency and increased customer satisfaction.

CA Application Performance Management, CA Infrastructure Management and CA Service Operations Insight will provide Getronics with end-to-end and top-to-bottom visibility into business services and their related components, the company said. The ability to link end-user experience, transactions and applications with their underlying systems and network infrastructure – across physical, virtual and cloud environments – will enable proactive problem identification and fast resolution that will help Getronics ensure the uptime of important business services. The solution will be used by Getronics’ operating centers and infrastructure support groups – and all business lines – to effectively support the full scope of its portfolio.
