Portland, Ore.-based Integra Telecom, the networking, communications and cloud solutions provider, is using CA Infrastructure Management to assure the availability and performance of its service delivery infrastructure and the traffic it supports.

Integra, which owns and operates a fiber-optic network, recently launched Ethernet services and a cloud firewall Service. CA says Infrastructure Management allows Integra to maintain its high customer loyalty and satisfaction ratings by enhancing its ability to measure and report on network performance and control potential service-impacting incidents across its infrastructure, end-to-end.

“Businesses rate reliability as the most important factor in choosing a voice and data communications provider," said Jay Allen, engineering director, Integra Telecom. “We chose CA Technologies to help ensure the delivery of clear, fast and dependable hosted and cloud services. With the implementation jointly performed by CA Services and our own team, we now have a cost-effective service assurance solution that improves our efficiency and delivers better quality and more reliable service to our customers."

The integration of CA Spectrum and CA eHealth, key components of CA Infrastructure Management, provides Integra with 24x7 infrastructure monitoring; automated alerts to potential performance problems; and automated, model-based root cause analysis. CA says its service-assurance solutions also provide custom historical and real-time reporting for specific customer sets that help Integra maintain high-quality service levels.

Integra soon plans to implement CA NetQoS ReporterAnalyzer in its Network Operations Center for real-time visibility and historical analysis of bandwidth usage. This will enable the company to provide the tools its customers need to make cost-effective decisions for optimizing and improving network service delivery, CA said.
