MANAGEMENT WORLD — Videotron has selected additional solutions and capabilities from Netcracker Technology's Telecom Operations and Management Solutions suite. Focused specifically on data integrity, capacity optimization and asset utilization, the expanded solution is designed to positively impact the cost of operations.

Videotron, a subsidiary of Quebecor Media, is an integrated communications company engaged in cable broadcasting, interactive multimedia development, Internet access services, cable telephony and wireless telephone services. It is the primary cable operator for the province of Quebec, serving over 1.7 million business and residential customers.

In previous project phases, NetCracker helped Videotron consolidate its legacy systems and thereby gain the flexibility it requires to roll out and support new services and offerings — including quad-play bundles. In its ongoing program to optimize its networks, future-proof its product lines and offer customers next-generation communication services, Videotron has once again decided to leverage NetCracker’s solutions offerings as well as its best practices in solution delivery and implementation.

“This new project is a direct outcome of NetCracker and Videotron’s successful history of working together to meet Videotron’s business objectives and to bring the best offerings to Videotron’s customers," said Andrew Feinberg, president and CEO of NetCracker. “This expansion further deepens our long-standing and mutually beneficial relationship."
