Ontology Systems and CSC have formed a partnership to build and deliver enterprise data alignment solutions for service providers that want to search and align knowledge from customer, service and network data distributed across their operational, business and infrastructure systems.
The initiative began almost a year ago and has already led to deals with operators in North America. Plans to extend to more CSPs across the Americas and Europe will continue throughout 2011 and into 2012.
Data misalignment is a root cause of low customer profit, high customer cost and lack of agility for CSPs. Specifically data misalignment results in missed revenue opportunities; inaccurate service and management; uncoordinated customer service; and failed system transformation and migrations.
CSC and Ontology Systems say their collaboration provides semantic search solutions based on Ontology 3. The solutions deliver a singular, comprehensive view of critical business concepts including customers, services and network assets. They enable a number of high-value use cases to be implemented using existing data.
