Telenity is turning to a longtime friend to run the company.
Ilhan Bagoren, chairman and co-founder, becomes Telenity's new CEO effective Friday. He replaces Amhet Ozalp, who is stepping down.
"This was a change planned for the last four months and Ilhan Bagoren has been actively involved in the day-to-day operations of Telenity, which will ensure a smooth transition period," said Ozalp. "For the last three years, we have focused on innovation and created a very exciting set of new products in areas such as location-based services, mobile social networking and mobile marketing. We also adopted new business and pricing models that positioned us as an even stronger partner to mobile operators in a wide range of geographies including India, Turkey, Eastern Europe and Middle East and Africa (MEA) regions."
"I'm very excited about leading Telenity at this new phase of the company's growth," said Bagoren. "We have an excellent team, a large and distinguished group of customers and a very attractive portfolio of ground-breaking products. I already see our investment in innovation and R&D in the last few years starting to pay off in terms of early customer interest and feedback."
Ozalp will remain as a member of the board of directors at Telenity and will continue his full-time career as a business executive in an Internet technology company, in San Mateo, Calif.
Telenity is provider of location-based services, social media, mobile marketing and messaging platforms and solutions.
