ALU will use Tribold's EPM in any of three ways: as a standalone solution, as part of wider end-to-end BSS, or in managed network and operations solutions to the market. This will put Tribold EPM at the heart of the Alcatel BSS suite, which includes Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Progress Order Management. The Tribold solutions also will be sold separately.
An Alcatel-Lucent spokesperson said the Tribold EPM offers the highest levels of functionality for the lowest total cost of ownership and that the company is already seeing strong demand across its customer base.
Tribold EPM is based on a Centralized Product and Service Catalog (CPC) and a Product and Service Lifecycle Management (PLM) solution. Together they increase the quality of the product management process and the ability to support product and service innovation. The London-based company was founded in 2003.
