Sprint is extending the footprint of NetCracker's Telecom Operations and Management Solutions Suite, which allows the BSS/OSS solutions provider to provide the telco giant with a consolidated, centralized means of managing and provisioning its new mobile infrastructure.
NetCracker says its solution will enable Sprint to streamline its provisioning processes, increase operational efficiencies, reduce fallout, and retire a number of legacy systems. Once fully deployed, the solution will deliver multiple benefits to Sprint, NEC-owned Netcracker said, including reduced OpEx, enhanced QoS, and a streamlined operations support system footprint.
Sprint plans for its first 4G LTE markets to be up and running this summer.
"We see participation in Sprint's innovative Network Vision Program as a testimonial to our commitment and contribution over the last five years," said Andrew Feinberg, president and CEO of NetCracker. "Sprint's approach to network and business transformation sets a high standard in the industry, and we are proud to be a part of their ongoing mission."
