Astellia announced today that it extended its contract with NII Holdings to the Nextel-operated NII network in Mexico.
The contract will also eventually extend to NII's next generation network in Brazil, which will likely launch by the end of this year, according to Astellia.
NII will use Astellia's end-to-end probe-based solution in its next-generation wireless networks in Brazil, Chile, Mexico and Peru. Astellia's solution intends to help NII understand the dependency among network equipment, subscribers, mobile devices and voice and data services.
The solution will gather insights to allow optimization and engineering teams to isolate issues affecting customer experience and identify root causes. This will better ensure a high quality customer experience for Nextel subscribers.
