AT&T took the win for top mobile performance in Dallas when compared to Verizon, T-Mobile, MetroPCS and Sprint.

Today's release of the latest Dallas RootScore Report revealed how the mobile carriers perform in various cities through analysis of 40,800 data, call and text tests. According to RootMetrics, this is AT&T's second consecutive win in all data speed measures.

The final results for overall performance in Dallas include  AT&T in first place, Verizon in second, T-Mobile taking third, and MetroPCS and Sprint following in last.

Compared to previous analysis in February 2012, AT&T’s LTE network delivered similar average download and upload speeds.

Sprint delivered an average upload speed that was 1.3 MBps faster than RootMetrics’ previous visit, jumping from 0.8 MBps to 2.1 MBps. The company's average download speed was comparable to the speed RootMetrics recorded earlier in 2012.

Verizon’s LTE network delivered a similar average upload speed, while its average download speed decreased slightly.

Sprint’s LTE network delivered a fourth place performance in average speed for both download and upload, though RootMetrics expects Sprint’s data speeds to improve as their network expands.
