Vodafone Czech Republic selected Astellia as a main partner for maximizing the company's network performance throughout its equipment swap project.
Astellia, a provider of monitoring solutions for the optimization of mobile network QoS and QoE, will help enable Vodafone to ensure the fast and successful replacement of more than 40 BSCs in its 2G network throughout this three-year project.
With these swap operations, Vodafone aims at reducing both capex and opex, while providing enhanced service quality. This complex and time-sensitive project requires a strong expertise in RAN optimization, and also a vendor-independent monitoring solution.
Vodafone chose Astellia for its radio optimization expertise and flexible portable probing system, which is ideal for carrying out performance benchmark audits during equipment swaps. The solution will also be used for customer complaint investigations.
Slavomír Slanina, RAN manager at Vodafone Czech Republic, said Vodafone will likely call on Astellia's expertise for the company's 3G network monitoring.
