Some patent disputes between Apple and Samsung may finally end after courts decided that there have been no acts of "copycatting."
Apple lost its tablet copyright appeal when Britain's Court of Appeal upheld the High Court's judgment that the Samsung Galaxy did not mimic Apple's design, according to an article by Reuters. This decision applies throughout Europe and should end these conflicts throughout the region.
South Korea's Samsung was pleased with the ruling, and according to a statement in the article, the company said, "We continue to believe that Apple was not the first to design a tablet with a rectangular shape and rounded corners."
Apple was instructed to run a message in its ads that indicates Samsung did not copy its products. The company declined to comment.
