EXFO has launched a new hardware probe to assure transport service-level agreements while measuring end-user quality of experience for data, voice, video and mobile services.

The BV-110 Verifier allows service providers and mobile network operators to assure quality services, reduce mean-time-to-repair and avoid truck rolls to save costs, according to the company.

As the newest addition to EXFO's verifiers, the BV-110 increases service assurance power of EXFO's Brix System while enhancing operational efficiency and network visibility.

"This new monitoring tool provides the visibility and details that are essential for network administrators to quickly and easily troubleshoot performance issues that affect end users' QoE," said Claudio Mazzuca, vice president of EXFO's Systems and Service Assurance Division.

EXFO also reported its fourth-quarter and year-end results for fiscal 2012 this week, revealing that annual sales decreased by 7.3 percent due to a challenging market, while gross margin improved to 63.3 percent of sales.

In addition, cash flows from operations attained $25.3 million in 2012, compared to $23.3 million in 2011.
