Information-technology solutions provider Alestra, based in Mexico, has chosen NetCracker Technology to enhance its BSS in order to streamline its current billing operations and support the launch of next-generation services.

Alestra offers data-center, cloud and security applications, vertical solutions for specialized industries and consulting services for designing and managing complex ICT projects.

Alestra will use NetCracker’s BSS portfolio, including mediation, to provide converged billing that will transform billing information from multiple sources into a single data format. This functionality will give Alestra deeper insights into the customer experience, NetCracker said, and will also lower OpEx and TCO by eliminating a number of custom processes and applications. The NetCracker solution will also support charging and billing for next-generation offerings such as cloud services.

“The NetCracker solution will simplify Alestra’s billing operations and will thereby reduce the time and investment needed to optimize their existing system," said Frank DeTraglia, NetCracker’s VP, global sales. “We are pleased to be bringing NetCracker’s unrivalled knowledge and experience to Alestra’s transformation program, and we look forward to helping them position their business for continued success in the future."
