NetCracker Technology is now a big name in one of the world's smallest nations.

Andorra Telecom, the national telecommunications operator and regulator in the European nation whose name it bears, provides mobile and fixed voice, transmission data, Internet, and other supplementary services for domestic and international telecommunications, and is also responsible for managing the technical infrastructure and national broadcasting networks for the country’s radio and Terrestrial Digital Television. NetCracker will be the single supplier of its business and operations support system.

Waltham, Mass.-based NetCracker's BSS/OSS is built on a unified underlying platform, with a fully convergent, next-generation infrastructure that will provide customer management, product management, revenue management, and service fulfillment and assurance capabilities.

Building on the deployment of its nationwide optical fiber network and on its mobile network, Andorra is focused on strengthening its role as a service provider and bringing greater value to its customers. The company will use NetCracker’s end-to-end BSS/OSS to ensure that its contracting, supply, invoicing and service-assurance operations can support the company’s new direction. The advanced functionality utilizes a single, unified platform for BSS and OSS will enable Andorra to simplify operations, increase automation, and improve ease of use, NetCracker said. This, in turn, will accelerate the rollout of new products, reduce CapEx and OpEx, and enhance the customer experience.

“The transformation of our BSS/OSS infrastructure is an important first step as we begin to transition our operations to more closely reflect a service provider business model," said Jaume Salvat, CEO of Andorra Telecom. “We chose NetCracker because of their comprehensive product and services suite that will enable us to operationalize both BSS and OSS on a single, end-to-end platform."
