MOBILE WORLD CONGRESS Elitecore Technologies, provider of next-generation OSS/BSS, has announced its mobile data offload (MDO) offering will be deployed by the largest telecommunications services company in Indonesia.

Elitecore Mobile Data Offload Solution is a complete service management platform that enables telecom operators to offer Wi-Fi to existing mobile users as a value added service or for offloading mobile data traffic.

Elitecore will enable the provider’s partners to use Wi-Fi offload for their 3G, CDMA and DSL subscribers. By creating seamless authentication between mobile/fixed accounts and Wi-Fi hotspots, Elitecore MDO will enable the telecom provider to create additional revenue streams across mobile and fixed line services.

Catering to 660,000 users in Phase I, with more than 1.3million expected in Phase II, the solution will complement the operator’s ongoing Wi-Fi service, offering customers a higher quality mobile experience.

The partnership comes following updates to the technology last month and is one of 10 major clients wins for Elitecore across India, APAC and MEA.

“These wins reinforce Elitecore’s leadership in the market due to our extensive reach among operators, our interoperability with partner ecosystems, and our carrier grade and scalable Wi-Fi offload platform" said Dhaval Vora, vice president of product management for Elitecore. "Our MDO platform gives operators a potential edge through quick, cost-effective rollouts, reduced 3G network congestion and a highly enhanced customer mobile experience."
