Lebanon’s Alfa Gearing Up For Deregulation

As Lebanon’s telecommunication industry prepares for future deregulation, mobile phone operators are preparing for increased competition.

Lebanon’s government-owned GSM provider, Alfa, will upgrade for operational efficiencies using Intec’s Mobile Business Solution. The roll-out will include Singl.eView customer management, as well as billing and financial assurances modules.

As one of two Lebanese GSP providers offering wireless services, Alfa said it believes Intec’s billing flexibility and scalability will complement its plans to roll out advanced services across fixed, wireless, and IP networks during the course of 2008.
