Geneva-based SITA will deploy Axiom Systems' AXIOSS platform to manage and configure SITA's portfolio of integrated network solutions for its air transport industry customers, the companies said Tuesday.
SITA said it selected Axiom Systems' service fulfillment platform to manage and configure their Internet-based solutions, with a longer term project plan to expand the desired product to include other related services.
The company said its immediate requirements centered on the need for an end-to-end solution encompassing service provisioning, service inventory and the activation of their Internet-based solutions. These requirements utilize three modules of AXIOSS: Order to Service, which monitors and controls the whole service provisioning process allowing users to execute, track and automate order lifecycle; Service Inventory, which is used to manage the physical and logical resources, and maintains synchronization with the network; And Service Activation, which provides the communications layer for interfaces to other network solutions.
In a future project phase, SITA plans to implement Axiom Systems Active Catalog, a service design and process orchestration platform that allows products and services to be quickly created and rolled out, from robust, reusable building blocks. The Active Catalog is part of the TM Forum's PSA (product and service assembly) architecture, which Axiom Systems was a founding member.
