Amdocs Enters Digital Advertising for Mobile market

Brenda Belkin, senior analyst at Insight Research, said in her report published last week, "Operations Support Systems 2007-2012", that the trend for professional services couple with software solutions was unmistakable; it is growing globally by 11.4 percent. That is 40 percent more than the growth of OSS revenue itself, which is 8.2 percent.

The CES portfolio also includes features such as multi-channel purchasing capabilities supported by service oriented architecture, an enhanced Amdocs Enterprise Product Catalog that supports both non-Amdocs and Amdocs applications, a new set of network-connected applications for delivering and controlling value-added services and a new service creation environment using real-time session control, application and media servers and network gateways, some of which Amdocs picked up with its acquisition last year of SigValue.

With some controversy surrounding the use of customer data, the whole strategy may hold some risk. However, Kolman said, “Customers have to be exposed to it before they can embrace it. But they can’t get the feeling they are being bombarded with messages or that it is ‘big brotherish.’ It has to have a value added component.”
