Martin Group Names VP of Operations

Martin Group has named Eugene McCord vice president of operations.

McCord will be responsible for managing the company's customer-facing operations including activations, software support, business services, IT, quality assurance, and training. He will determine and formulate policies and business strategies and provide overall direction for Martin Group. He will report to Martin Group’s CEO, Jim Odom.

McCord was a founding stockholder of PrairieWave Communications and served as its chief information officer and vice president of the company until it was acquired by Knology in the spring of 2007. At PrairieWave, he spearheaded two separate conversions of PrairieWave’s operation to Martin Group’s BSS|OSS Software Suite.

His communications experience includes leadership and operational positions with entrénet, NetSource Communications (formerly MTC Telemanagement), DialNet, Grand River Mutual Telephone Corporation, Midstate Telephone Company, N.E. Missouri Rural Telephone Co-op, and Martin Group (formerly Martin & Associates).
