BELL ATLANTIC TO MERGE WHOLESALE ORGANIZATIONS

In a reorganization intended to provide a single point of contact to other carriers, Bell Atlantic has merged it Carrier Services and Telecom Industry Services (TIS) groups. The two units were part of the company’s Network Services organization. Carrier Services provides access and billing services to other telecom carriers. TIS serves wireless carriers, resellers, CLECs, pay phone providers and independent LECs.
