BT Grows Managed Services Business in U.S.

06/11/2008

BT announced a $650 million, five-year deal with Proctor & Gamble to provide and manage a portfolio of services to support P&G's IT requirements. This major U.S.-led deal will cover more than 1,100 P&G locations in more than 82 countries.

BT’s revenue from the U.S. market has grown 20% in the last quarter and this agreement is valued at $650 million.

With the agreement, BT will provide and manage P&G's local and wide area network infrastructure. In addition, BT will migrate these services to a state-of-the-art, high-speed, IP-based global MPLS infrastructure. BT will also provide and manage perimeter security and firewall services, conferencing, remote access, voice and IP telephony services, and Internet services.

Michael Boustridge, President of BT Americas, said "This announcement further underpins BT’s commitment to being an innovator focused on addressing the needs of global businesses in the Americas.”
