CHECKFREE AND PNM TO PROVIDE UTILITY EBPP

CheckFree and the Public Service Company of New Mexico (PNM) announced an agreement designed to allow PNM customers to visit a single Web site to receive and pay bills electronically on PCs. PNM customers are expected to be able to use CheckFree's E-Bill service to receive electronic bills, complete with color graphics, logos and full billing details, on their home and business PCs by 1Q 1999. The E-Bill system is designed to allow customers to use one central Web site to receive and pay bills. PNM is an integrated energy company providing electric and natural gas service to the state of New Mexico.
