CSG Systems to Buy DataProse

CSG Systems International Inc. said it will acquire DataProse Inc. for $39 million in cash.

Oxnard, Calif.-based DataProse is a privately-held provider of statement presentment and direct mail services. The deal is expected to close by the end of the month.

DataProse enhances CSG’s suite of turnkey solutions for personalized statement presentment in paper and electronic formats, and adds expertise in direct mail marketing services, including database management and market segmentation, CSG said.

DataProse helps more than 500 clients market through improved billing statement presentation and personalized direct mail. The majority of its revenue comes from its billing solutions division that produces monthly statements and provides bill issuers with outsourced solutions to communicate with customers, lower billing costs, accelerate payment cycles and reduce billing errors.

The company also provides direct mail marketing services to support fundraising efforts of large non-profit organizations.
