IBM Takes on Google, Microsoft in SaaS Market

Microsoft Corp.’s Windows Live SaaS suite will soon be answered by IBM’s LotusLive Engage.

The cloud-based enterprise application suite will challenge Microsoft as well as Google Apps. LotusLive is set to launch in the first quarter, and will provide businesses with file sharing, e-mail and Web conferencing; it also integrates with Salesforce.com, Skype and LinkedIn.
