Ixia Enhances Service Verification Platform

The IxRave IP service verification platform from Ixia just got a little more sophisticated. The company has announced the platform supports Mobile Backhaul and Carrier Ethernet testing.

These capabilities extend IxRave’s VoIP, IPTV, MSO and Enterprise VPN services verification offerings. Service providers can now actively monitor, measure and troubleshoot their converged networks and services using a unified, affordable, centralized solution.

Until now, service providers were frequently limited to multiple, disconnected niche service monitoring tools that could only provide coverage for a portion of the network or service offerings. IxRave actively tests all customers’ individual paths with the same type of traffic that they use, ensuring high quality of experience (QoE) and SLA conformance. The IxRave solution empowers service providers to cost effectively achieve broad network layer 2-7 visibility, according to the company.
