M-net Picks Evolving Systems for Triple-Play Activation

02/03/2009

German broadband operator, M-net Telekommunikations GmbH, has selected Evolving Systems’ Tertio Service Activation solution for triple-play activation.

M-net provides TV, mobile telephony, fixed, broadband and ISP services to the Bavarian region of Germany. The carrier was providing service activation functionality using a number of internally developed activation modules which were becoming both time consuming and costly to manage. In order to streamline the business and reduce costs, M-net decided to consolidate its current activation infrastructure into a single unified provisioning layer.

“There were a number of factors that contributed to our decision to select Evolving Systems,” said Markus Niedermeier, head of networks at M-net Telekommunikations GmbH. “The Tertio solution, which includes the Tertio Content Connector module, will provide us with a unified provisioning platform and the flexibility to become more self-sufficient. In addition, compliance with our requirements, deployment on Linux, VMware support, local representation and good regional references were also contributing factors,” he added.

“M-net is Evolving Systems’ second German broadband customer,” said Thad Dupper, president and CEO of Evolving Systems. “It is an exciting time for M-net, as they look to expand their operations significantly over the next year. Evolving Systems’ Tertio solution will provide them with the added flexibility required to scale and grow,” he added.
