Orga Systems Claims First Convergent Billing System

12/01/2008

Orga Systems says its success in Ukraine shows the company has the world’s first fully convergent charging and billing system.

Astelit, the fastest growing operator in Ukraine, has been using Orga’s OPSC Gold for one year, serving 12 million subscribers. The system has allowed Astelit to launch new, next-generation services with aggressive time-to-market. The companies claim OPSC Gold is a highly configurable system making every service available to any type of subscriber. This has helped Astelit to clearly differentiate itself from competitors and realize continuous outstanding growth rates. The final implementation of OPSC Gold brings all of the subscribers to a single system.

Migrating the whole customer base enabled Astelit to offer more sophisticated hybrid tariffs. Combining pre- and postpaid payment methods for new offerings, including promotions and loyalty campaigns, boosted the brand‘s attractiveness and awareness. Another very positive effect was a strong consolidation of multi-platforms, which were in place for different services. Orga Systems says Astelit has also saved money by adopting its service.
