Pelephone Turns to Tektronix for Network Monitoring

09/11/2009

Israeli telco Pelephone has selected Tektronix Communications to provide a single, integrated network monitoring solution to ensure end-to-end quality of service across both its legacy CDMA network (1xRTT, EV-DO) and next-generation UMTS network (GSM, GPRS, UMTS).

Pelephone is integrating Tektronix Communications’ Network Intelligence Solutions, which include the OptiMon suite of advanced network optimization products and GeoProbe with Advanced Performance Monitoring (APM), part of the Unified Assurance suite of applications, for its mobile network. Tektronix Communications says its Network Intelligence Solutions provide an actionable path for network operators to make better business decisions through better data collection, correlation and analysis of information. The OptiMon solution allows Pelephone to identify the root cause of quality of service issues in real-time. GeoProbe’s network-wide probing capability provides visibility to network control and traffic; by adding APM, Pelephone can proactively address network performance issues across the entire network through the use of real-time alerts and ongoing historical analysis.
