SUN, LHS DEMONSTRATE STARFIRE SERVER

Sun Microsystems Inc. and LHS Group Inc. released performance statistics, based on internal performance tests, demonstrating that the Sun Starfire server, running LHS' BSCS in conjunction with an Oracle 7.3 database, processed 111,000 sample phone bills per hour. According to Sun this is equivalent to the workload of 5 million subscribers.
