Xangati Framework Delivers Real-Time Visibility

12/09/2008

Xangati has unveiled Application Management 2.0, a new multi-role social framework that leverages Web 2.0 principles to deliver extensive, real-time visibility into both in-house and web-based applications.

Application Management 2.0 helps stakeholders across both enterprise and service provider organizations work collaboratively to understand the challenges of today’s increasingly complicated networked application environments, minimize negative effects of application rollouts and updates, and resolve issues in record time, said the company.

Unlike legacy application management systems, Xangati says its Application Management 2.0 utilizes concepts such as streaming, collaboration, and user-generated content to form a comprehensive system for managing networked application service levels.

With this solution, service providers and enterprises have access to a series of visual resources that can be shared collaboratively across work groups within the organization to increase understanding and simplify the management and troubleshooting of 2.0 application performance.

Jim Smith, Assistant Network Administrator for Agri Valley Communications, Inc. (AVCI), has deployed the Application Management 2.0 solution to manage applications across their fixed wireless, DSL, 3G and VoIP networks.

“We’ve come to depend on the Xangati solution to the point where we essentially keep the Xangati user interface running all day long,” said Jim Smith, Assistant Network Administrator for Agri Valley Communications, Inc. “Shortly after we had deployed Xangati, we found a legacy monitoring server that was using considerable bandwidth on our backhaul. We were able to take it out of commission and enhance bandwidth performance, essentially saving thousands of dollars almost immediately.”
