Harris Stratex Networks, a supplier of turnkey wireless transmission and network management solutions, introduced NetBoss XT this month and will highlight it at the Billing & OSS World Conference & Expo this week In Chicago. NetBoss is a network management solution for broadband, wireless and converged networks. The new NetBoss XT allows users to gather data quickly from multiple sources, including traditional telecommunications networks, radios, and other equipment. It is available in a wide range of configurations that can be combined with other variants or with NetBoss Manage.IT. NetBoss XT is built with Java J2SE object-oriented technology and is compatible with both Microsoft Windows and Solaris. It has a tiered, standards-based architecture designed for rapid implementation across a distributed network and enables load-sharing across multiple operating systems and platforms. The architecture, along with published APIs, also simplifies integration with third-party applications such as inventory and trouble ticketing. In addition, a console control panel provides easy access to documentation and to applications. The entire system features a consistent look and feel across all applications. The product has four configurations including NetBoss X Element Manager, NetBoss XA Alarm Manager, NetBoss XD Domain Manager and NetBoss XM Manager of Managers. Combining one or more of these managers with other NetBoss XT or NetBoss Manage.IT offerings enables customers to scale management architectures to accommodate large networks.
